Hey there, Mason jar fans!

Ok – confession – this may make me “basic” but I LOVE all things pumpkin spice. There. I’ve said it. Now don’t get me wrong, I love a good, crisp apple cider, or maple infused treat, or any other fall themed drink, dessert, food item, scented candle, or what-have-you. I’m a fall girl through and through. But as I’ve said before, I’m also thrifty (it’s genetic – ask my dad). So there’s NO WAY I’m going to drive thru Starbucks every time the craving hits me for a pumpkin cream cold brew.

Well then the TikTok gods smiled upon me and put @jlorenward‘s video of their recipe for copycat Starbucks pumpkin cream cold brew on my fyp (for you page)

and I was sold! It has simple, natural ingredients – some of which I already had on hand – and involved very few steps, which is always a win/win in my books. I used to have a milk frother but it died years ago so instead I thought, “What if I just put a leak proof lid on it and shake it for a few minutes instead…” and off we go!

I’ll also say that making your own DIY cold brew is quite possibly the easiest thing to do! Our stainless steel cold brew filter kit is one of my all time favorite MJL products and works perfectly! I made a little tutorial video on how to use it in case you’ve never seen one before or tried it, but it’s seriously just put coffee in the filter, pour water over it, put on the lid, let it sit for 18-24 hours, strain, refrigerate, and enjoy!

Other Uses for Pumpkin Cream Foam

Once you see how easy (and delish) this pumpkin cream foam is, you’ll be looking for all sorts of ways to use this seasonal topping to enhance the flavor and presentation of a variety of dishes and beverages.

Here are a few ideas to get you started:

Pumpkin Spice Latte

It was a little chilly in the warehouse the day I made this pumpkin foam for everyone to try so my boss, Maggie brewed up a pot of hot coffee. She then added a generous dollop of pumpkin cream foam to it and created a homemade pumpkin spice latte! It’s a perfect fall twist on the classic latte.

Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino

Create your own Starbucks copycat pumpkin spice frappuccino by blending coffee, ice, milk, and sweetener, then topping it with pumpkin cream foam for a chilly, caffeine-infused treat.

Hot Chocolate

Not a coffee fan? Then upgrade your hot chocolate by adding a pumpkin cream foam topping. I can’t wait to do this for my kids as I know they’ll love the combination of rich cocoa and the warm, spiced foam!

Apple Cider or Tea

We have a few non-coffee drinkers in the MJL family and at home and this sweet, seasonal foam would be the perfect topper for a hot cup of spiced tea or cider.

Smoothies

Got a favorite fall-themed smoothie recipe? Add a swirl of pumpkin cream foam to your morning blend for a creamy, seasonal twist. It pairs well with banana, cinnamon, and nutmeg flavors.

Cocktails

This was honestly one of my first thoughts and I don’t drink very often, BUT Trader Joe’s has an amazing Cold Brew liqueur! I was immediately dreaming of making a cold brew cocktail and topping it with this delish pumpkin cream. You can get creative with your fall cocktails by incorporating pumpkin cream foam as a tasty garnish. It would work well with drinks like pumpkin martinis, Irish coffees, creamy liqueur cocktails, and so much more!

Pumpkin Pie

Ready to bring a surprise change up to the Thanksgiving table? Instead of traditional whipped cream, use pumpkin cream foam as a topping for your pumpkin pie. It adds a seasonal flair and a creamy texture that pairs well with the pie’s flavors. You may want to shake it more than 3 minutes for the heavy cream to thicken more but play around with it!

Pumpkin Soup

Cut the brown sugar to 1/2 a tablespoon to lessen the sweetness and serve a bowl of pumpkin soup with a spoonful of pumpkin cream foam on top. It not only enhances the taste but also makes your soup visually appealing. You can garnish with an additional sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice to top it off.

Pancakes & Waffles

I love to make pumpkin spice pancakes and waffles in the fall and a drizzle of this pumpkin cream foam would turn breakfast into a fall-themed treat.

French Toast

Last year I got this amazing Pumpkin Brioche Twist bread at Trader Joe’s and made French toast with it. It was a slice of fall heaven! But just thinking about making it again this year and having this foam with it has my eyes rolling back in my head…

Chia Seed Pudding

I wrote a blog post before with my pumpkin spice chia seed pudding recipe and I just LOVE to make it! This pumpkin cream on top would make a healthy treat into the perfect autumnal dessert!

Oatmeal

My kids love hot oatmeal on chilly mornings and stirring some pumpkin cream foam into their morning bowl would make a heart healthy breakfast feel special.

Pumpkin Parfait

It can be breakfast, an afternoon snack, or even dessert! Layer pumpkin cream foam with yogurt and granola to create a pumpkin parfait. It’s a nutritious and delicious!

Dessert Crepes

Spread a thin layer of pumpkin cream foam on your dessert crepes before adding fillings like fresh berries, chocolate, or caramel.

Ice Cream

Top a scoop of vanilla, cinnamon, cheesecake, or any really any flavor of ice cream with a spoonful of pumpkin cream foam for a seasonal ice cream sundae. You could top with waffle cookies or graham crackers crushed up.

Feel free to experiment with your homemade pumpkin cream foam in your favorite recipes and dishes. Its creamy texture and warm, spiced flavor can add a touch of autumn to all your culinary creations.
