Individual straws available here.
Our 6.25" long, 6mm outside diameter (5mm inside diameter) straws have a 45° bend for drinking comfort (and bonus style points!). The engraved threading gives them that nostalgic plastic bendy straw look, but they do not bend. They are the perfect height for a half pint (8oz) jar. These high quality straws are made of 18/8 304 grade stainless steel.
Every day, 500 million disposable straws are used in the U.S., which is a staggering amount! We have a perceived reliance on single use plastics and can get swept up in the throw away culture surrounding us - but you can be part of the solution! These stainless steel straws could used for the rest of your life!
Stainless steel straws are:
- Very strong
- Long lasting
- Eco friendly
- Dishwasher safe
- Safe for all types of foods and beverages
- Rust proof
- Break proof
- Chemical free
Half pint jars with a bent straw and drinking lid are ideal for children’s drinks while the stainless steel and glass keep chemicals from leaching into their beverages. My children love this kid-friendly combo in the car or lounging on the couch with and I love that spills are minimized!
Adults love our thin bent straws too! From coffee to cocktails - you can serve and enjoy your drinks in style!
These versatile straws fit in almost any straw hole lid (even daisy lids) and are perfect for drinking water, juice, iced tea, coffee, soda, etc. An 8mm hole seems to be the most common with Mason jar lids, but some lids have a 6mm hole. Our popular thick paper party straws are also 6mm thick, so if your lid fits a paper straw it will fit this straw. 6mm is the thinnest reusable straw that we are aware of, since glass and silicone are thicker materials.
For smoothies or anything thick we recommend a thicker straw, although I can definitely suck a Vitamix smoothie through this straw.
The most reliable way to clean reusable straws is our straw cleaner with soap and hot water. They are also dishwasher safe, or a quick rinse might be sufficient. You can also boil these to disinfect them if you want to. My personal cleaning routine is to rinse them after use, put them in the dishwasher, then run a straw cleaner through them and rinse again before putting them away. My dishwasher usually gets them clean but sometimes leaves a little residue so this ensures they are clean.
Stainless Steel is one of the most commonly used materials in the kitchen, used to make cookware, utensils, commercial food processing and storage equipment, and more. Stainless steel will not leach any chemicals into your beverage like plastic can.
- Jars and lids are sold separately.
- Treat stainless steel straws like other metal utensils. Don't let a child run around with one, and please be careful!
