If you use Mason jars for drinking or storage, it is essential to have an adequate supply of one piece storage lids.
Two piece lids work, but they are cumbersome to repeatedly take on and off the jar, they are coated with plastic, and they eventually get rusty.
Ball plastic storage lids also work, but our stainless steel lids are more durable, leak proof, plastic free, and nicer looking.
We use them a lot for capping unfinished drinks, leftover food, fermented food, and sauces in the fridge. Our kids drink out of half pint jars and eat out of wide mouth half pint jars, so when they don’t finish we just put a lid on it and put it back in the fridge.
In the pantry we use them on nuts and seeds, flour, sugar, and other staples.
They are made of 18/8 304 grade stainless steel and clear food grade silicone rubber.
Stainless Steel is one of the most commonly used materials in the kitchen, used to make cookware, utensils, commercial food processing and storage equipment, and more. Stainless steel will not leach any chemicals into your beverage like plastic can.
Not for processing.
