Leak Proof Platinum Silicone Sealing Lid Liners for Mason Jars 10 Pack

$13.99$15.99

These silicone lid inserts / liners are leak proof, food safe, and dishwasher safe! They are designed for white plastic Ball storage caps (the newer gray lids don’t need these), Mason Jar Lifestyle plastic storage lids, and MJL stainless steel lids. They also work with many of our decorative lids, and lots of others.

They now feature a pinch tab near the edge to make them much easier to remove! The tab should go down, into the jar. When used with a band alone, they work best with the tab up.

Made of platinum cured silicone rubber, these lid inserts are dishwasher, freezer, and microwave safe! Silicone is a safe, green, non-plastic (BPA free) material that does not leach any chemicals like plastic can. Platinum cured silicone is more expensive and more pure than peroxide cured silicone.

10 platinum silicone discs per order.

Mix and match silicone seals and lid liners

When I decided to invent this product, I was trying to solve two common problems with Mason jar lids: either they leak (like the plastic Ball lids), or they are not food safe (like many decorative lids). These flat, round discs solve both problems! The food only comes in contact with the silicone, and they make many lids airtight and watertight.

They are made of clear, food grade, BPA free, platinum cured silicone rubber.
The regular mouth size are 70mm in diameter and 2.7mm thick.
The wide mouth size are 86.5mm in diameter and 3.3mm thick.

These lids fit in Ball plastic storage caps and will not fall out when you hold them upside down. Because silicone is a flexible material, they fit some other lids too, even if they are not the exact same size. But lids for Mason jars come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes, so these will not work with all of them. When possible we have tried to identify on our site which of our lids will work with these inserts. Note that with some types of lids they won’t look like they are fitting correctly, but when you tighten the lid they may still create a good seal. If they seem a little too big for your lid, you can trim them with a scissors. Silicone will not be harmed by cutting it and will retain all the same properties.

You can even use these liners with just a band / ring and they will not leak!

Some of the many uses for our silicone sealing lid liners:

  • Replace rusted metal flat lids
  • Make lids air tight
  • Make lids leak proof
  • Make lids food safe
  • Prevent food contact with plastic or tin
  • Line a straw hole lid for transport or storage
  • Line any type of cutout lid for candles or food

Any odor will disappear after washing them or letting them air out in sunlight.

Perfect fit and another use

The regular size liners are perfect for older half pint jars, because they use the standard ring for sealing. I also love both sizes of these liners for separating homemade burgers for freezing.

Product is as advertised!

Great item and quality! The silicon is thick thus perfect for liquid sealing and less likely to spill. I used this for my jar wherein hot liquid is placed everyday. I did not dare to invert it with its hot contents but I did try it with regular water when I was washing it. It holds and seals well. The high quality silicon works versus other silicones that are too thin. This product is topnotch and is a good alternative to sealing drinks for transport - silicon vs the steel lids.

WISH THEY WERE TABLESS

The tab is awkward and cannot go down inside the jar as the groove is on the opposite side of the lid.
Flipping it to use with metal bands, would deceive the purpose of leak-proof sealing. Disappointing!

The tab should go down, into the jar, with most plastic and metal lids. The tab makes it much easier to remove the liner when you want to clean it.
The tab should go up when used with just a band/ring. If you plan to use them this way, feel free to snip the tab off with a scissors.
