Lid fit: These grommets fit a 10mm (1cm) straw hole and reduce the opening to 8mm. Compatible with painted metal and stainless steel straw hole lids that have a 10mm opening. They do not fit our solid-color or daisy-cut lids with smaller holes. Fit depends on the lid hole, rather than the jar's mouth size.
Straw fit: Use straws with an outside diameter under 8mm. Straws 8mm or wider can press the silicone against the metal edge and tear the grommet. This includes our 8mm-outside-diameter Safer Rounded End stainless steel straws. Check the outside diameter of glass straws before choosing a grommet.
Attached plug: Remove the straw and press the plug into the opening to help resist leaks and splashes. The plug stays attached to the grommet so you can keep the pieces together.
Material: LFGB-grade silicone. Reusable.
Care: Remove the grommet from tin-plated steel lids before washing so moisture does not get trapped underneath and cause rust. Let the lid and grommet dry before reassembling.
