These aluminum storage lids come with a removable foam insert that makes them leak proof. The foam is not very durable, so it is probably for a single use.
I like the look, but these lids pull right off with minimal effort. Don't lift the jar by the lid, even if the jar is small and not full of heavy stuff, it will pull off and you will risk breaking your jar and ruining the contents within.
These lids are thin, and aluminum is soft, so they would come off easier than other types of lids. I would not recommend lifting any jar by the lid. Since you are unhappy with the lids, we will issue a refund.
